About this design
Here my appreciation of this model, is one of aesthetics. This is also the reason for the quote being an expression of shape, as opposed to mechanics or driving.
For those who do not know, the car is an AC Cobra , assembled by AC Cars in a plant on Thames Ditton High Street during the 60's. You might say AC cars was polarised, they made most of their money from dreadful three wheelers designed, well perhaps designed is the wrong word, for the disabled. At the other extreme were AC Cobras and the AC Frua. The Cobra is their most enduring model. It is a classic V8 muscle car. One, owned by the miliionaire racing driver John Wolfe, was the first road car to break 10 seconds for the dash from 0-100 mph in the 1960's. Fitted with a 427 cubic inch V8 I recall it did it in 9.8 seconds.
