With more than 100 films under his between 1917 and 1959, Bela Lugosi would none the less be best remembered as Dracula (although he once once played Jesus). He died during the making of Plan 9 from Outer Space, generally accepted to be the worst film ever made, written and directed by the inimitable Ed Wood . Lugosi would set the architype of Dracula for decades to come, right up to and including Christopher Lee.
