About this design
Fausto was a very dominant cyclist in the 1940's and early 50's. He really should have achieved more had the war not started during his career. Still, he was extremely successful, so successful that he earned the name champion of champions . He was an all-round racing cyclist he was fantastic at both climbing and time trialing, and was also a great sprinter. He won the Giro d'Italia five times, the Tour de France twice and the world championship once in 1953.
Fausto was an alpha male in every sense of the word, he famously angered Pope Pius XII by having an affair with Giulia Occhini who was a strikingly beautiful woman with thick chestnut hair divided into enormous plaits... and was also married to an army captain, Enrico Locatelli.
The Pope should lighten up!
Forza Coppi!!!
