About this design
One of the last great R&B tenor sax giants, King Curtis was a session player, producer, performer and band leader. During the sixties hits such as 'ode to billie joe' 'Memphis Soul Stew' and 'Instant groove" garnered him fans from both the soul and emerging psych rock scene. His stunning cover of 'a whiter shade a of pale' from was also used to great effect over the opening titles of Withnail & I. Tragically murdered at the height of his career in 1971, I feel this 'King' is long over due a tee shirt!
