About this design
Extraordinary to think that Rover designed the front suspension of this car in order to facilitate the potential fit of a gas turbine engine. In the event they were able to fit a small block V8 easily instead. Engineered with good steering and a de Dion rear suspension the P6 Rovers delivered class leading handling. This at a time when it was hard to keep similarly powerful BMW's on the road. Anyone who has taken their foot off the gas of a five series BMW of that era in a corner would confirm this. Where are they now? BMW is the most consistently profitable car manufacturer in the world, meanwhile Rover is emasculated. Tell me trade unionism is not to blame. Is there anyone out there who could say trade unions have done their members - I am talking here at a mass level, not the level of individuals - any good? This looks great on all of our t shirt colours. I would particularly recommend this black design is printed on Titanium or Apple White.
