About this design
This t-shirt admires the legendary Silver Arrows, Germany's dominant Mercedes-Benz & Auto Union Grand Prix cars between 1934 and 1939.
Weight limits had been introduced and Mercedes-Benz decided to strip the paint from their cars down to the bare aluminum.
Manfred von Brauchitsch won the first races in the W25 in 1934 but it wasn't a one-off. The W25 went on to dominate and win many races, causing the media to dub them "The Silver Arrows" - a name that stuck and was used to identify other Mercedes-Benz grand prix cars, and even today the Mercedes (formerly Brawn) Formula One cars are silver as a tradition started by the W25.
The W25 wasn't just a beautiful race-car, but it was the birth of a legend.
