About this design
Almost everyone has heard the name Socrates. He was a classical philosopher and taught Plato. Although his name is widely known, it is less known that in actual fact, none of his written work has survived - everything we know of Socrates comes from others talking about him.
This is why I have used the line "What Would Socrates Think" in my design, because it is something we will never know for certain.
What is certain though, is that Socrates was a bit of a rebel in ancient Greece, saying what he thought even if it went against the authorities. We know this, because he was brought to trial and executed for it in 399AD.
Plato wrote about this and in it, he outlines some of Socrates's most famous philosophical ideas: the necessity of doing what one thinks is right even in the face of universal opposition, and the need to pursue knowledge even when opposed. I admire that!
