About this design
This t-shirt admires the British built Thrust SSC (SuperSonic Car), currently the world's fastest "car".
It has 4 wheels and a steering wheel, but that's where the similarities with standard cars end.
Developed by Richard Noble, the Thrust SSC is powered by two Rolls-Royce jet engines with afterburners, taken from the british version of the F-4 Phantom II jet fighter.
The SSC set the world record in October 1997, clocking a speed of 1,228 km/h (763 mph) inBlack Rock Desert, Nevada USA and was driven (or should we say piloted) by an ex RAF fighter pilot, Andy Green.
If you are looking to own a car that can beat anything on land this is it, but be prepared to pay for it at the pump, it consumes a staggering 5,500 Litres every 100 km!
