Sir Jack Brabham BT19 T-shirt.
This t-shirt design admires the Formula One triple World Champion, Sir Jack Brabham. Sir Jack wasn’t just a great F1 driver, he was also mechanically and technically gifted – He not only won the F1 World Championship three times, but he won it in a car bearing his own name – something that will probably never be repeated…imagine Lewis Hamilton winning a world championship for the Hamilton-Mercedes Team!
Brabham initially raced for Cooper Car Company (He won two World Championships for Cooper in 1959 & 1960), but also owned his own car dealership which sold “upgraded” road cars with the engineering help of his friend Ron Tauranac. Sir Jack & Ron had dreamt of creating their own racing cars, and in the mid 60’s when Cooper started to lose their form, they started Brabham Racing Organisation.
It started out like most other small teams in F1 without much success, but in 1966 a new 3-litre formula was created for Formula One. The new engines under development by other suppliers all had at least 12 cylinders and proved difficult to develop.
Brabham took a different approach and asked Repco to develop a 3-litre V8 for them. Although it was less powerful than their competitor’s 12 cylinder powerplants, the Repco was light and more importantly, reliable.
On July 3rd, 1966, Jack won the French Grand Prix in the Brabham BT19. He went on to win the next four races, the British, Dutch and German Grand Prix and secured the 1966 World Championship in his own car.
A key part of the art work for this t-shirt design was produced by Yukio Miyamoto and is endorsed by Sir Jack Brabham himself. It is a detailed Adobe Illustrator drawing with a profile of Jack in the background from his earlier days (around 1960) along with his signature. The t-shirt features printing on the front and the back and is a special edition t-shirt. The cost of this t-shirt design is 7.5% of the gross sale price of each shirt is donated to Sir jack Brabham’s  Charity, Kidney Health Australia.

The shirts:

These t shirts are unique for being made exclusively for us wholly with cool-max-image-e1485361440757.png fibres ring spun into yarns manufactured exclusively for WeAdmire. These yarns are then knitted into a single jersey fabric suitable for t shirts.

The CoolMax bit exploits the surface tension of water to wick moisture from your skin. It works through micro channels engineered into the profile of the fibre. These channels are physical attributes, they are there for the life of the fibre.

The Fresh FX bit embeds a silver salt in the molecular structure of the fibre that stops the propagation of bacteria which, left unchecked, ultimately cause a sour odour. Because the silver salt is embedded within the fibre it, like the wicking, is similarly permanent; it will not leech out with wear and washing.

These attributes deliver shirts that remain cool and dry almost regardless of what you might do in them and similarly they remain fresh. And the ongoing performance of the fabric is guaranteed. This is important, these shirts will become your favourite items of apparel, you will want to wear your shirts again and again.

These shirts are marvellous to travel with, they stay fresh if you don’t have the chance to wash them, they wash easily when you do have the chance, and they dry super quickly. There is also a very useful side effect to all this: our shirts keep anything you wear on top of them and what you might wear after wearing them fresher too.

The cut and fit and sizing of these shirts is exclusive to us and was specified by Anastasia Vouyouka, a published guru of fit in the fashion industry.

The feel of the very best natural fibre shirts you have experienced with the performance of the fibres that set the benchmarks for wicking and freshness. It is very unlikely you will have experienced this level of technical performance in a decorated t shirt before.
