Nagra IV-S, Sn 15354 by Yukio Minamoto.
Some time ago on a slow Saturday afternoon, a very large gentleman came to the studio and bought the shirt that uses Yukio Miyamoto's vectored Adobe Illustrator rendered image of this machine. Because it is vectored we can reproduce at any size without loss of resolution. We explained this to the prospective customer. And we obliged when asked to enlarge the image to fill the front of the largest shirt we had at the time. On Thursday of the following week the customer called us to say he had worn the shirt every day of the week so far and was loving it. He then explained he had a HiFi business in one of the towns to the west of London. He went on to describe how that morning a customer of his had been embarrassed to have been caught staring. When politely challenged the customer, clearly embarrassed apologised and then blurted out I can read the 'ucking serial number. We called this shirt Nagra Series IVs Serial No 15354 to mark the event. The files we use on this version of the Nagra are not vectors but the precision of Yukio's work is such that you can read the serial number and indeed all the text - with regards to some of the text you might need a magnifying glass to dread it but if you have one you will find the text legible. Yukio's work though casually accessible is a tour de force of digital illustration.Our t-shirts are unique for being wholly made with CoolMax freshFX. CoolMax is a patented fibre designed to wick perspiration and accelerate moisture evaporation, keeping wearers cooler and drier. This wicking feature of the fabric is made possible by micro channels engineered into the profile of and surface of the fibre. These channels are cleverly dimensioned to exploit the surface tension and capillary action of water. Being physical properties of the fibre, these channels endure and do not significantly diminish with wear or washing.
Antimicrobial (freshFX) treatment stops the propagation of odour producing bacteria. This is achieved by embedding silver salt crystals into the structure of the fibre. FreshFX treatment like the wicking is permanent and does not leach out with everyday use. These characteristics ensure the shirts remain cool, dry and odour free regardless of what you might do in them. Performance of the fabric is guaranteed through a certified and monitored manufacturing process.
