The shirts:

These t shirts are unique for being made exclusively for us wholly with cool-max-image-e1485361440757.png fibres ring spun into yarns manufactured exclusively for WeAdmire. These yarns are then knitted into a single jersey fabric suitable for t shirts.

The CoolMax bit exploits the surface tension of water to wick moisture from your skin. It works through micro channels engineered into the profile of the fibre. These channels are physical attributes, they are there for the life of the fibre.

The Fresh FX bit embeds a silver salt in the molecular structure of the fibre that stops the propagation of bacteria which, left unchecked, ultimately cause a sour odour. Because the silver salt is embedded within the fibre it, like the wicking, is similarly permanent; it will not leech out with wear and washing.

These attributes deliver shirts that remain cool and dry almost regardless of what you might do in them and similarly they remain fresh. And the ongoing performance of the fabric is guaranteed. This is important, these shirts will become your favourite items of apparel, you will want to wear your shirts again and again.

These shirts are marvellous to travel with, they stay fresh if you don’t have the chance to wash them, they wash easily when you do have the chance, and they dry super quickly. There is also a very useful side effect to all this: our shirts keep anything you wear on top of them and what you might wear after wearing them fresher too.

The cut and fit and sizing of these shirts is exclusive to us and was specified by Anastasia Vouyouka, a published guru of fit in the fashion industry.

The feel of the very best natural fibre shirts you have experienced with the performance of the fibres that set the benchmarks for wicking and freshness. It is very unlikely you will have experienced this level of technical performance in a decorated t shirt before.

The artwork:

This t-shirt admires the incredible adventure set-out and achieved by the Americans in the 1960’s. The Apollo Program was such a great accomplishment, it was an amazing effort with so much achieved in such a short time.
In 1957 the Soviets launched Sputnik, and began the space race with the Americans, who, with various rocket failures and missed opportunities, was losing out. They were second at almost everything – 2nd to launch an object into orbit, 2nd to launch a man into space, 2nd to perform an EVA (spacewalk) etc. etc. Something needed to be done and fast. President Kennedy wanted to know what they could do, and do it first, before the Soviets. They needed something bold that would let the world know they were technologically on par, or better still, ahead of the Soviets. Kennedy’s advisors suggested focusing their efforts to landing a man on the moon, So that is what he decided to work towards… you can’t get much bolder than that!
I’m not sure if Kennedy ever realised the enormity of his request he gave to his country, “to land a man on the moon and return him safely to the Earth” (within 10 years!). It happened though, and the immense effort put into achieving that goal was unbelievable. 400,000 people, new technologies designed and training by the astronauts that would make most science fiction stories seem boring.
This particular design focuses on the amazing fact that less than 100 years before they landed on the moon, aircraft hadn’t even been invented, even cars were a novelty and the thought of landing men on the moon was absolutely ludicrous. I have used a quote from one of my favourite astronauts, Charlie Duke (of Apollo 16) said that his father “was born shortly after the Wright Brothers” and he went on to say that his father could hardly believe what his son was doing and never really got his head around it. Wear this t-shirt to admire how far we have come in such a short time…
